At Dreamwave I was post production manager, which meant I was in charge of advertising, graphic design, trade paperbacks, posters, lithos, lettering, and a ton of other things heh. Fun times. Nowadays I work for UDON Entertainment.

I started a small publishing company with one other guy.
We're dealing mostly in posters and prints, lythos and giclee.
We're not really the comic market content but still applies
since its fantasy related.
Any words of wisdom from your experience you can pass on?

Um, well one this that springs to mind, be conservating in your risk-taking. You're going to need to take risks of course, but take one at a time. One of the reasons for Dreamwave's collapse was that too many high risk projects were taken on a once, assuming that they would all be successfull just like Transformers was.

Sure. right on.do you know of any quality vendors to produce high end prints or did you
guys do standard posters on thin stock?

Well I work at UDON right now. WE print out standard posters at Quebecor, (door posters, regular posters, these are on thin stock). For our high quality prints and lithos we print them at a local place here in Toronto.

I dunno. but I did do this awhile ago. maybe a year back. the stuff I saw looked real cool. anime meets European style.

I used a digital picture I took of a metal gate in my alley, tansform it a bunch and then made brushes from the pic to paint on top of it all to help integrate the mediums.
