By far my only problem with almost every single version with the original story. I understand what Go Nagai was aiming for in terms of how the story draws parallel to certain elements like war and peace. But when it comes to characters we hold near and dear, she didn't deserve to meet the gruesome fate that her character has endured for 30+ years.
