and what exactly, in your opinion, is art? ...and i take it you've never taken any figure drawing classes or even any college art courses for that matter? because if you had, you would notice a great many of the greatest works of art... in the history of art... have been of nude subjects. the ceiling of the sistine chapel, davinci's vitruvian man, most all of aubrey beardsley and even luis ricardo falero's work consists of the human anatomy in it's rawest form.
so, not to be mean or anything but, the human figure is possibly the greatest work of art known to human kind. it's not always immaculate and sometimes it's a far cry from beautiful but it is man's finest creation. like it or not, art isn't always teddy bears, flowers and unicorns and rainbows. art is the freedom of expression. art is the conception of something that never would have existed were it not for the artist of which brought it forth. "it is the truth told from lips that can only lie..." and one of the only things where it doesn't matter what the intended subject matter is - it will never mean the same thing to someone else...
it is only my opinion, in and of that, if you're going to critique something you must look at it with an open mind. question it... become it... be subjective but, never consider yourself the judge; because it is not your-nor is it my-place to make judgments. who are we to decide what is and isn't art? i think we should all be so lucky to have the privilege of the artist gracing us with their work, whether you believe it to be of any art form or not. it is because of them that it is here now.
