so I have been messing around with paint tool sai and photo shop, I draw jazz in paint tool sia then moved her to photoshop to add effects and stuffim still new to all of this, I hope it still looks good!

ooh la la XD lolz I had to she looks really awesome, I wouldn't give no genocide to her no sir-ree! any tips on shading? My art looks crappy with shade and I end up questioning why I add it XD do you know what I mean?

Mmmm there are different styles to shade, first things first what kind of shading do you want? Some like to blend their colors together to get a soft look, some like to hav bold shading, some have a combination of both
Really good shading that I look up too is Vivziepop's shading, but her art in genral is amazing!
Now once you have decided on what type of shading you like with your art or just something you want to try, think about colors, for example, many people would go for a darker color of the main color they focus on right? Light blue means dark blue for shading BUT be careful because with Yellow, you want orange to be your shade color, a darker yellow is kind of muddy and not the natrual shading color
Shading applies to lighting, shade isnt going to be as heavy on both sides of a characters face, what helps me is if you put an "L" on the source of lighting you want, lets say the upper left corner, then out the letter "D" on yhe oppisite side to know where to keep the darks and the lights!
With this knowlege, this is where you can begin, shading over time gets more difficult depending on what you want to potray, take it slow, baby steps at a time so you dont get upset with yourself causing you to give up! Anyone that wants to be an artist cab be, they just need to keep trying

And wow that really helps a lot lol I am trying (sumopaint.com is the only media I can afford cuz its free) and it tends to be glitchy sometimes so then the shading just turns weird and adds to my lack of skills sadly 😓 but really thank you that helps a lot 😜
