These runes were described by the author of the Mortal Instruments books, and when the movies were being made, they commissioned Val Freire far-eviler to design the runes for the movies.

If you want "real" runes then look up Futhark. They have been used in the "real" world for centuries.

I've never heard of it before, but I just googled it, and it looks amazing!!! It looks like it has a really smooth surface, which is ideal for burning, so I'm going to try and find some, on the internet somewhere.... it's not exactly native up here in the temperate zone!! Do you know anywhere that sells it (that delivers internationally)?

If you get some, I definitely want to see the results

No I have never tried it and I haven't found any locally either. I have read several accounts that its great carving and good burning.

Sounds great. Found a few suppliers on the internet, but they mostly sell in bulk, and shipping is very expensive. Will keep looking.
