HHHhhh I'm so proud of this ahhhhI tried to do a background but it hates me. And I hate it. Mutual hate.
It took 3 hours of trying to get a good background but I just didn't like anything. Krita kinda sucks for backgrounds because it's SO SLOW.
I did this for a pre-college submission thing so I hope they like it :w;

I really love how this turned out! Your shading is amazing, especially for digital art. (I can't do smooth shading on digital ;w; )
I think one of my favorite things you did with this piece was how you colored his lips. The use of different shades of color really gave them a nice look and texture. The face in general is stellar.
In reality, the only things I can find to actually critique is the hair, and certain parts of shading.
You may want to look at making the ends of the hair smaller, I guess? I'm not sure how to phrase this omg... Maybe like, instead of the hair separating into a few bigger chunks near the end, break them into more smaller pieces?
And the only thing I have to say about the shading is that maybe you can try to add some darker areas in some places, like under the chin and such, to really make the art pop.

Thanks, broski! Hair hasn't been much of a strong point for me I guess.
Though next month I think that's gonna be my main focus to improve on so hopefully it'll be better then.
I think I was trying to go for a seaweed effect or something by making larger chunks but it didn't come through very well.
