It's technically a cockatrice.
A two-day combo piece. I've been studying zazB 's amazing shape and line width control and using to convey shape, size and depth better. I do believe I'm getting better at it!

I always thought cockatrices were actually chicken sized. It's what made them so scary to me.
You would just see an odd looking chicken and then you would touch it or it would hiss at you and BAM, you are a statue.
