Just for the record, my face didn't actually look that yellow. It's just the lighting -_-Anyway, um, yeah. This is me, wearing make up (for the first time ever) and a very awesome dress + headband thing. It was for my year ten formal/"dinner-dance". Kinda like Prom (for the Americans), I suppose.
Be, er, kind?
I think/felt I looked rather pretty, and everyone else made a point of saying so too, so I'm fairly sure it wasn't just me (the photo doesn't show it very well) 
Oh! Also, the title is as it is because several people commented that I looked kind of like a princess or something >_>;;;

Heh, I went to my cousin's sweet sixteen recently and had to waer make up and a dress, and at the hotel I looked into the mirror and went "Woah... Make up..." lol, I never wear make up

And I didn't mean it was exactly the same as prom. I just meant that it's similar -- you know, you get dressed up, have 'dates' for it, dinner, dancing, etc.

Yeah. You're allowed to leave school at the end of Year 10 here (at least until next year), so it's kind of for the people who're leaving (whether permanently or just to another school). It's slightly different to the Year 12 formal, because your date can only be from Year 10 for the Year 10 Formal (whereas for the Year 12 one, there are no restrictions).

Ah. In my schools we have this thing called The Hop. It's when lower classmen ( 9-10 ) have a tiny prom themselves. They can invite anyone that goes to the highschool. Any 7-8 graders have to pay a fee of $65 U.S dollars. ( I was going to go but the guy told me about the fee ) It's somewhat like your 10 formal. But, only my school has it. :\
In america you can't 'drop-out' until 11th grade and that is with parents saying you can. :\

No, not I'm not a Satanist and it's not Satanic (that's the inverse pentagram). It's actually usually associated with Wicca/paganism. I'm not Wiccan either, though I wouldn't mind being (I don't feel like I know enough about it to call myself Wiccan). It's the meaning behind it that I like. Pentagrams are associated with protection
