Krantches are blind since they have no eyes, but use a type of echolocation by taking loud steps and listening to where the sounds bounce off of obstacles. If they are hunting for meat or plants (they prefer plants), they have a long, forked tongue nearly identical to a snake's so that they can smell the air around them.
