Here is something that I illustrated for this past Veteran's Day, something that looks back on the origins of the holiday. Following the First World War, nations did what they could to cope with the devastation that had plagued the globe for four years, from erecting monuments to honor the dead to memorializing the armistice as Veterans’ Day. Compassionate individuals treated the wounded, such as Anna Coleman Ladd with her aid for the physically scarred, and Sigmund Freud with his aid for the mentally scarred. The writer T.S.
