Although she dislikes strangers, she would never be rude to them. Argus forbid they’d go on to tell all of Hireath that she wasn’t polite! Her reputation is of utmost importance if she has any hope of keeping her job or even being promoted.

Having been through a lot herself, Anfisa has a deep sense of understanding of the struggles of others. Anfisa is a highly sensitive individual who is always in tune with the moods of others, which is a great advantage if it she needs to console a visitor at her temple. However being so sensitive means Anfisa is easily wounded, and often struggles to forgive even the smallest of insults.

History:
The beginning;;
The first-born child of an alcoholic mother, and an unknown father, Anfisa was hardly expected to amount to much. She was a frail looking thing, and her mother assumed she wouldn’t even survive the night. Though she did survive, her mother Liane was barely impressed. From the minute Anfisa took her first breath, Liane was apathetic towards her daughter. The twenty year old mare had never wanted to be a mother, she had to work to fund her addiction and had no interest in giving that up for some worthless child.
Which was exactly what Liane drilled into Anfisa’s head for the entirety of their time together, and with nothing to convince her otherwise, Anfisa grew to believe she was worthless too. And why wouldn’t she? Anfisa struggled to socialize with other foals and was too far behind her classmates to think about catching up.

The middle;;
However, when Anfisa was on her second year of schooling, her teachers and classmates were growing increasingly suspicious of abuse. Deciding it would be rather safe than sorry, a concerned living skills teacher reported Liane to the authorities, who quickly launched an investigation.
The results of the investigation confirmed the suspicions of Anfisa’s teachers, and Anfisa was swiftly removed from her mother and placed into her grandmother, Zonje’s home.
Anfisa was five years of age when Zonje, first learned of Anfisa’s existence. Five whole years the retired teacher went without knowing she had a granddaughter. So it is not difficult to imagine Zonje’s surprise when the Watch appears at her door with a bay filly they claimed was her granddaughter.
Liane truthfully didn’t know why she kept Anfisa from Zonje, despite her being the only one who wasn’t aware of the filly. It wasn’t that she’d made a point to do so, it was just in her nature to keep secrets.
However, Anfisa was not quite sure how she felt about permanently moving in with a mare she’d never met before. Life with Liane was the only life she’d ever known. Having nothing to compare her life to, she had no way of knowing that constant belittling and being left alone for several days was not a normal way for foals to be treated.
Although it was not an easy transition, Anfisa thrived under her grandmother’s care. For the first time in her life she was free from a constant stream of conflict, and finally had someone to be there for her. Zonje successfully set Anfisa back on track in her schooling, and introduced to what would go on to be the most important part of her life; religion. From then on Anfisa was Argus and his message was her true calling.
When Anfisa lived with Liane the gods were not a topic that was frequently mentioned, despite a small shrine dedicated to Argus always existing in their house.
Into the present;;
By the time Zonje passed away Anfisa was thirteen years old. Anfisa had already taken on an apprenticeship as a magi, much to Zonje’s delight. Though Anfisa did wish her mother would be able to see all she had accomplished.
Once her time as an apprentice had come to an end, Anfisa graduated into the role of a magi, which was a strange feeling. The goal she had spent a great deal of her life working towards was finally accomplished.

It is unlikely Anfisa will be able to recover from the verbal abuse she faced, even though it was long ago
Anfisa continues to work as a magi in Argus’s Central Temple. She lives just off the temple grounds in a small home carved directly into the labyrinth walls. She does hope to be promoted to priestess one day, but is currently too well adjusted to her current responsibilities as a Magi to worry about it.

- The taste and smell of pickled food is something Anfisa strongly dislikes. Specifically the vinegar. However, pickling is the most widely avaliable food option in Sirith, so she gets by.
- Anfisa fears the labyrinth just as much as any other Breimian, but she firmly believes the day she gets lost is the day Argus abandons her.
- Anfisa is just as afraid of the surface as she is of the labyrinth. Specifically the idea of rain. In her opinion water has no business coming from the sky and she has no interest in seeing it.
