Some people will prefer this because the right side or bright side as I prefer to look on it could be construed as a distraction...

The way I look at it is that the edge of the forest is stated, less mysterious and therefore part of the journey in the original.

In this image the edge of the forest is inferred but the forest could be construed as a continuum where light penetrates but the forest is boundless...

But this is a bluebell wood, an endangered species, attacked on all sides and will no doubt be consumed by the appetites of man and their towns and cities...

That is why there is more than one version or vision of this photograph. Life goes on but not necessarily as you would wish or want it...

Who knew that light could be so menacing!?
