Why does it matter which church you go to? I thought this whole Christianity thing is about getting closer to God, not to people or with yourself. I've found that I don't need a church to have a relationship with God, and I'm perfectly happy with that. And if I burn for it, then oh well! I'll roast hotdogs!

it's to get a further understanding of the bible, and therefore getting closer to god. if you keep hearing the story of david and goliath each year, what's it doing for you? you can believe in god but you need to have a strong belief. the devil believes in god, demons believe in god but they arent his followers, it's very hard to explain through text. plus, that church is very cliquey, there are groups in the church, there's no whole. the whole church is supposed to be a family, but really our church isn't like that. AND once they found out that we had switched churches they wouldn't let my mom teach sunday school or be a bionic, so we left for good after that. :T

That's one of the reasons I've stopped going there - because of all the groups and stuff. I've even overheard some people say some offensive things about non-believers and it just made me mad, so I stopped going. :I
