*Maniacal laughter*I'm surprised no one has used this meme yet. It's too perfect.
In all seriousness though, my first encounter with Bazelgeuse was actually a lot more tame than most. I found traces of him during an expedition, and when I saw him he was far enough away so that I could cloak and get a better look at him, so it wasn't too big of a surprise. Still, I didn't dare fight him this early. He'd most likely one-shot me in an instant with those freaking bomb scale things.
It was only later during a hunt with a HR Anjanath that Bazel decided to literally drop in and crash the party. I saw him coming though, so I thankfully didn't faint. This is why it's always a smart idea to bring Dung Pods. Still... so many explosions.

I don't know if you could do this, but I'd imagine it'd be rather advantageous to use the slinger to fire back those explosive scales. Though I doubt that's something you can do.
Go figure though. Basically 'New Game Plus' of a Monster Hunter game: Just insert a powerful Monster that wanders from area to area, dive bombing you whenever it feels so inclined. It's kinda funny admittedly, but I could see it getting frustrating. XD
I remember back during the days when a Mega Potion would heal that right up without any problems. Kinda feels like they've been nurfed, if you ask me. Mind you, this is coming from the bloke who struggles to find Ivy and Blue Mushrooms in the previous games to make Potions and Pitfall Traps.

It becomes a massive mess when Bazel and two OTHER monsters are thrown into the mix. TRUST ME. It's happened more than once with me.

I had the pleasure of trying to hunt Anjanath with Bazel crashing the party, as well as a Barroth to muck everything up. >_<;
Again, Dung Pods are useful in such a situation.

Heh, sounds like a fun time.
I suppose a Dung Pod would be handy in said situation(s)... Though depending on what monster you hunt, and if Bazel is in the area and shows up while you're attacking the monster you're hunting, you could always use the Ghillie Mantle and hide out it while the two attack each other.
