Description
After some more training, it was about time to take on our final gym challenge. This time, it was against dragon types... along with Seadra and Gyarados. Okay, it makes sense that Seadra evolve into dragon types, and I know Gyarados were originally planned to be dragon type as well, so I couldn't argue. In any case, I had Kuhn and Fiona handle most of the trainers here, with Discharge, Aurora Beam, and, although it's not very reliable, Sheer Cold, a one-hit KO move. You see, as soon as Seel evolve into Dewgong, they instantly learn Sheer Cold. I'd rather have Ice Beam, but he wouldn't be able to learn that move until much later. Besides, the TM requires playing Voltorb Flip... I wasn't about to waste my time with that again.

Anyways, we managed to confront Clair. She's probably one of the most disliked gym leaders in all of Pokemon, since she's a bit of a sore loser. But that's another story. Her first Pokemon was Gyarados, so I made the right choice going with Fiona here. One Discharge was all it took to take down the massive serpent. Next were her two Dragonair. Kuhn handled them both, although he did have a bit of trouble with their Thunder Wave paralyzing him. He still managed to pull through until Clair sent out her final Pokemon, the dreaded Kingdra.

Only one type was effective against it: Dragon. As such, I sent out my own secret weapon, Nana. The reasoning behind this is that she actually learns Outrage, a dragon-type move of all things, making her even more of a force to be reckoned with. Before the battle, I told Nana that I wasn't the kind of person to let children out in the field of battle, so she let me hold on to Roo while she cleaned up the competition.

It was quite a fierce battle. The Kingdra was constantly using Dragon Pulse to whittle down Nana's health, but a few Mega Punches and an Outrage were enough to defeat it, all the while Roo was cheering her mother on from the sidelines. The battle was one-sided, and I won easily enough.

But, of course, Clair was not impressed over my victory. To truly earn the last badge, I needed to head into the Dragon's Den at the back of the gym and take a special test from her master there. I didn't mind, since this was a part of the game anyway. Besides, I knew I was going to get something truly special out of it, so long as I play my cards right. Next off, Dragon's Den.

{It's been a while since I had the pleasure of drawing my Kangaskhan. And what better way to draw them than in the final gym of Johto? Yeah, this battle was a little difficult, especially with those Dragonair and their annoying Thunder Wave. So yeah.
