They really didn't need the costumes, but they insisted.Happy Halloween everybody! Hope you all got lots of candy, or went on some cool spooky adventures. Meanwhile, I just stayed at home handing out candy.

Kids have gotta get out there and have some fun. Good to see Birch isn't scared to go out trick or treating. Never would have guessed Dewey would be getting his first Halloween night so soon after he hatched. But good for the little guy!
You know the more I look at your artwork, the more curious I get about your technique. I know you said the straight line thing just comes with practice, but I'm curious to know how you do the colouring and other forms of shading.

I typically use different brush tools for painting with lowered opacity and flow (particularly the messy face paint Dewey has), and I just go ham with it.

Are any of the brushes custom or do they just come with the program? I'm sorry for asking, I'm just very curious about other artists styles.
Even still, that's pretty interesting. The only thing I painted recently was that bust of Reef's for that spectrum thing. Build up's a bit of a pain, but it makes for a more natural looking painting. I'm trying to find a good way to remove that and still keep a good solid colour. I think I need to get rid of 'transfer' or select something other then 'pen pressure' on the brush settings.

Photoshop comes with a variety of different brushes, yeah. One of the large ones they have I tend to use often for painting a fur-like texture, which you may have noticed on some of my older works.Β
