My second Gazimon. This one is a bit bigger than the first I think, around 4" counting the ears. He poses nicely and I'm pretty pleased with him overall. This is my first finished piece with clay details, on the claws.

Two-strand galvanized steel wire armature and soft wool, with Lumina clay claws. The little buckles on the tail bands are done with paint. I actually had a little mishap with the claws. When I painted them the clay absorbed the water in the paint, making it wrinkle. I smoothed them out with thickened Future, then used a couple coats of Paverpol, and finally painted again. Apparently in the future I'll need to seal Lumina before painting! I love Lumina, it air dries and tends to stay smooth, unlike regular polymer clay with picks up every mistake my shaky spaz hands tend to make. Needing to seal it before painting is a small price to pay for that.

Incidentally, this is the same tree that Mischief was playing in. It's a Japanese maple, and in the fall it's very pretty.
