Bunny ran, he ran like his short little life depended on it, and in many ways, it did. Just past his tail he could hear a crashing rustle as the Mommy-Monster gave chase. He could see most of her, but the little he couldn't gave him cause to worry. The cautious fear was proved right as she whacked him a good one across his baby smooth bum with a snap of her teeth.

With not an ounce of shame in sight Bunny loosed an undignified squeak and did his best to tuck his back end under him and out of Cricket's way. It sounded more like murder than a good scolding as the colt wailed again. Salvation, or at least living shields, were just ahead. All he had to do was make it before she finished tanning him good. When Mother said come back it was often best to listen the first time rather than cheekily go farther and look back to make sure she had noticed.

Triple6Farms finally gets that red grass she wanted after thinking subliminal thoughts my direction. I'm thinking this'll be his last baby, baby picture. He's all set for a little growing. Goose, Dee, and their dams make a rather bad cameo as the background horses.
