Description :Fox Hunt Results:
"Your horse crossed the finish line alone, where did it loose you?"
It made my day to find out that Alsike managed to throw Miss T. and then decide to finish the hunt anyway, how very him it was I plan on drawing a follow-up to this later to answer that question once I clear out some more pressing stuff. Until then laughing at the perfect irony of it will have to do

________________________________

From a distance and through the clumps of falling snow it might look like the pair was in a great deal of distress. There was an awful lot of mouth action on both their parts if everything was going swell. Get rid of the constant blast of frigid wind and it would have become clear that they were arguing nonstop, not even pausing or slowing down the conversation during jumps.

Calling it a conversation was being nice. Alsike was waxing snide and for a withdrawn woman Miss T. had a good amount of bile built up. Her lips stretched into exaggerated shapes as she cussed up a storm that could rival the one they were in for ferocity if not volume. Mostly it was directed at the weather, she effin' hated the cold and the winter season in general. But that didn't stop her from naming Alsike a peckerwood among a string of other descriptors that got a little choked up and lost as the one so named jostled her when he popped over a low line of bracken as if he were clearing a skyscraper.

By hook or by crook she would have badgered Lou-Anne into riding her favorite nightmare again. Problem was that the woman was laid up again with a couple broken fingers from trying to close a door while her hand was still in it. If it weren't for the new bridle they were trying out in hopes of gaining some control where conventional bits had failed she might have considered going ahead and blackmailing the woman into agreeing. But with only seven out of ten fingers functioning it would have been impossible for Lou to properly work the double reins.

With no time to find a suitable sucker that would agree to ride something with an ominous name like nightmare in the middle of a near blizzard, Miss T. had to man up and do it herself. And she had done so literally. When she had read the dress requirement it hadn't even occurred to her to actually wear a dress. She had met her once a year quota back on Halloween and wasn't due for another out of body experience until the year turned over.

As a result she was as toasty as you could be out galloping around in Winter with not one, not two, but four layers between her and a day chillier than a snowman's backside. And she needed every last one of them as, in Alsike's own words, he was 'making life more interesting'. Interesting consisted of bounding off into left field to slog around in snow so deep that it touched his belly and only turning back around to catch up once the tail end of the last horse disappeared into the greyish swirl of snowflakes. The first time he did it was just before Miss T. had stopped keeping her opinion to herself and started letting off mass amounts of body heat as she opened her mouth and let him have it. Interesting could go die in a ditch.

As they cleared yet another hedge with style, if not grace, neither one of them looked like the sort you would want to meet down a well lit alley let alone a dark one. Between the two of them and the wind they looked like they had been receiving haircare tips from Medusa and the pallor that had leeched into Miss T.'s cheeks along with the snarling expression made her a perfect match for the look Alsike wore. It was no wonder that the fox seemed to be getting her back end under her more to pull away as the two behind her finally returned to being an active part of the chase.

I was inspired to finish an entry for life-d-sign's Winter fox hunt . Mostly I just wanted to color the caricatured version of Alsike because it looked damn cool as a sketch

I totally stole my own character's clothes to dress Miss T. in. She's cosplaying my unnamed Victorian-ish man so I wouldn't have to go do any more research on a style. Her outfit is based loosely on mid-early 19th century gentleman's fashion.

It's probably the only time she'll get whats coming to her Why thanks, I think I spent more time worrying over how to make a white horse stand out in snow than anything else.

Wow. Absolutely stunning. And really enjoyed the story too.

I'd be running too, if Alsike was chasing me. Even the normal nightmares at DIS create enough trouble

Holy SHIT! pardon my language, but this is BREATHTAKINGLY awesome! Both Aliske and his rider look FRIGHTENING. Poor Wewillsea and Jullien..I wouldn't want to see that coming up behind me. I'm reminded a bit of Jurassic Park..."Must go faster..MUST GO FASTER!"

Thanks muchly. She's going faster, but is it fast enough? The suspense is killer, especially since it'll take months before we get the answer to that question

It feels like an epic when I finish writing and then realize me and my sub-par spelling skills have to go back and reread it The secret behind the snow is a motion blur filter.

I'm not sure which one is creepier, I guess it's a tie.

If it does freeze that would be good for everyone else

yeeehhaaaaaaaaaaa WOAH
this is freakin great. Your story is really gorgeously written, I enjoyed it very much.
I love the colours you used and the dynamic setting of the figures.

And though I wish you very much luck, I'm somehow afraid that those two will actually catch up to Jullelin please let them stay in one piece

Thanks, I make no promises, but he was fed before the hunt started, so he shouldn't be in a soul-sucking mood. That's one less thing to worry about, And he's having enough fun bothering Miss T.
