I don't know why people are saying femboy is a gross term
and this is coming from me a trans man
i refer to myself as femboy because im rly feminine
it's literally just used to describe feminine men and you shouldn't feel bad for using that term since it's not inherently bad ( c-boy however is because thats objectifying )
I've never seen someone be upset at the term femboy before and thats honestly taking things too far in terms of "hey this is offensive" ( when its not because again its only used to describe feminine men )

im p sure they said it was bad bc femboy originated as a pornographic term!! or its used as one (i learned that the hard way TT__TT), so it isnt rlly bc it's an objectifying term, it's just bc its commonly known to be associated with something bad/yucky

my pov is, what is the point? like is it a new gender?(which was my misunderstanding) i misunderstood that. i thought it was a gender. but now i know, femboy is just a faster way of saying, "boy, with feminine personality traits" which makes way more sense. the reason i judged the term was because i misunderstood what it meant!

i always thought 'femboy' referred to any man who was just really feminine ?? (like i always saw it as just combining the words "feminine" and "boy")

its sometimes used in a sexual way for men/trans men who dress up in a "feminine" way, and its used often enough for me to mistake it as an offensive term.. it just makes me + some of my friends who are trans really uncomfortable!

I've seen the word being used in a positive way a lot by trans people on here, even sometimes using it to describe themselves. so i was just confused at first! But i can def. see how some may see it as offensive now. I guess it just varies from person to person on how they interpret it and stuff??
