Phew I made it...
lol I was so tempted to draw the FE6 old version of him but then noticed you haven't played that game XD
I'm a huge swordmaster fan too so your choices were great. I wasn't familiar with most of the supports/ pairings you listed though, so unfortunately I wasn't able to whip up something romantic for Valentine's Day... but hope you had a wonderful day =]

I could never get this guy because you needed to get a certain amount of experience over all your characters to get him, and on the chapter where you get the most Pent kept eating it all and I didn't know why I didn't unlock the chapter, haha.

I just checked a walkthrough and it says you go down the karel route if physical units' combined level > magician combined level... so just used your physical units more throughout different chapters haha?

Karel, you wonderful swordsmaster, you! His pose is great here^^ I didn't really use swordsmasters in FE7 unless I ended up getting Karel on accident. He was too cool not to use! He shows up in FE6? I wonder if he becomes less kill crazy as time went by. Man, I want to play that game so badly... Nintendo, why?!

Mellows out in the 21 year gap. He turns into a wise mentor figure to his niece Fir and another Swordmaster Rutger. They never explain why though.
Some people believe it was Karla dying or that he found peace after the events of fe7. My theory is that when he and Guy fought (their A Support has Guy challenging Karel to a duel a year later) Guy might have died and his death may have actually effected him and that caused him to change.

You're absolutely right, I didn't use swordmasters in FE7 either now that I think about it. It's kind of weird because I love that class. I guess it's because Guy wasn't cool enough lol, and we had Lyn and Raven for swords.
Yes, Karel becomes the sword saint rather than demon =] His expressions and everything definitely fits the uncle figure (to Karla's daughter).
If you don't mind playing with an emulator on the computer, there is a fanmade English patch for FE6. The patch is really well done and the GBA emulator is perfect (no problems or lagging whatsoever). I thought Fe6 was a really good game, I like it as much as Fe7 if not more. Definitely worth trying

The swordmasters always end up being my favorites, they're just so awesome
appearance wise and are a very strong unit!
I wouldn't have minded that one either since I have seen the design and I think he still
looks hot but oh I wish they would have released that one instead of Sacred Stones
for the 3DS because I want to play it so much!

I totally agree about swordmasters! They're always really cool characters (well Guy is probably the only one in all the games that I don't care much about)
Yeah old Karel is still awesome >///< he aged well. I hadn't thought about it, but you're right!! I'm sure lots of ppl what to play Roy's story. I know some people may not like playing it on the computer, but the GBA emulator works perfectly and the English patch of the game is flawless too for FE6, so it's available if you do want to try it. It might just be a recall issue, but in my head, I liked the story progression in FE6 even more than FE7!

Emulators are actually really easy to use once you look into it =] Just download the visual boy advance emulator, the Japanese rom, and the project page providing the patch should give instructions on how to patch it. Serenesforest has a list of all FE patches: [link]

Yep, so basically I loved the game.
Although when Chrom first was like "let's get married!" on chapter 10, I was like "wut O_O? I never went to S rank?! CHROM WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! I want to pair off with someone else!!!" and then later on, I found out how sweet he was and thought "you are forgiven."

Hahaha yes apparently because Chrom needs to be married before the end of part 1, he just automatically marries his highest support...
Chrom is definitely one of my favorite lords =] Well I guess it would be more accurate to say I usually do like the lords (to various degrees) but there were always a number of characters I liked more in previous games.

Chrom is pretty cool. Although to be honest it's kinda hard to see him pair off with the female characters because of his personality. He seems to be the type that is oblivious to all natures of love.
I don't really like how the game did push Sumeia with Chrom together. It's not that I hate her it's just that I don't see how their relationship works. I mean come on, all they talked about are pies! I like pies but I don't want a relationship off of the bases of pies. =A= If I had the choice I would love to have Cordelia with Chrom. Well first Robin (since they're like best friends) and then Cordelia.

I gotta agree with you there. He's so awkward with romance that the S support with MU was exactly that.
I don't like the Chrom X Sumia canon either. Other FE games also had suggested canon pairings, but they didn't bug me in the least. Maybe it's the addition of an avatar/ my unit, so I just don't like Sumia very much... Maybe it's because I like Chrom too much XD?
And I'm with you on their support convos. I was expecting something more special for the canon pair! And yes, they seem a bit forced. I don't feel like they had enough interactions in the main story line.
I would've really loved to see supports between Chrom and Cordelia... I understand they're modeled after Marth and Catria from Shadow Dragon who can never be together, but I'm still curious. I like the girl who's usually perfect but clumsy in front of the person she likes more than the girl who's clumsy all the time XD

It does seem pretty forced. Especially how Chrom was like, I would love to eat your pies for the rest of my life. I was like "you're going to get fat..." I also don't really like how Sumia is so reliant on flower fortunes.
Also there's that issue with how the children's relationships with their parents work too. Like I can't see Cynthia with Chrom as a dad because she's too childish? I can see her with Frederick because he seems to be the type to have patience with her. And Henry too. Actually I put Sumia with Henry haha.
Yes Yes! A girl who's usually perfect but clumsy in front of the person she likes is a big point! I thought it was funny that she reads those silly books about how to get a guy in a forenight (or something like that) and then her daughter finds the book and says who reads these kinds of book. lol (I think her daughter is one of my least favorite character though haha ;;;;; she's like a super tsundere with extra rudeness)

Ahaha but when you use rhubarb for baking you put a whole lot of sugar or else it doesn't taste good. Plus it would make the pie taste too tart without a lot of sugar.
I put Cynthia with Owain through my first playthrough and you know how they wrote down what happened to the rest of the character's lives afterwards in the end, well their ending was pretty funny. Lol
Yep like kagami. But honestly she's really harsh. I feel like she's harsher than most other tsundere types?
