It sure was quiet downtown. Time had no mercy upon them and anticipated for this moment to come. In the dark night with the light up crosswalk caused by the street lights walked Tom and Edd side by side. A small wind moving their hairs making Tom wonder if he would ever get to see Edd's eyes. What a day it had been. Started off with some ice cream, then a movie, and ended up in the arcade which was now turned into a quiet walk. Did this count as a date or two friends hanging out? Tom knew the answer to that, but what did Edd think? They stopped at the fence of Edd's house when Edd turned to Tom with a curious smile.

Edd- Walk me to the door?

Tom- heheh....I-in a minute I uhhhh....I have to t-tie my shoe!

He dropped to the floor and pretended to tie his invicible shoe laces while Edd giggled.

Edd- Ok Tommie! See ya in a bit

He walked past Tom runing his hand at his back going through the fence. Tom's face was bright red at the touch of Edd's hand behind him. He needed to calm down. He stared back and began taking deep breaths waiting for Edd to be far enough. He then took a deeper breath than the rest and took out a rose he grabbed on the way here from his back pocket. Staring down at it gave him confidence it's blood red color with lovely white tips that beamed under the moonlight, the same way Edd did to him. His friends told him he had to tell Edd his feelings eventually, but his closest ones began to doubt he ever would. A small flame formed in his sockets getting a hold of himself standing up straight.

Tom- I CAN DO THIS!!!

He ran inside the fence with a serious face, his confidence drained when he was infronf of Edd. Who with an innocent smile tilted his head and asked.

Edd- Do what?

Tom- N-nothing!!

His face had hints of red on his cheeks. He stared down at his shoes and began to sweat. "Bad idea make a run for it" he thought.

Tom- N-night Edd.....

He smiled shinning a bit of light from his braces to Edd. Slowly turning away in shame, when he felt a warm hand at his wrist pull him back. This was it, it was now or never. His thoughts raced in his mind, but stopped at a specific one. A flashback of Tord's words "If you don't ask him out soon I will Tom! And be prepared because I am no coward like you."

Edd- Tom...please wa-

Tom turned and surprised Edd with a kiss at his cheek. Edd's face turned completely pink and his eyes widened and sparkled beneath his hair. He felt his heart pound rapidly and sparks fly around them. A magic never experienced before that faded when Tom pulled back with a bright smile handing Edd the rose nervously shaking. Edd thought his eyes decieved him so he pushed his hair aside to look at the rose. Shakingly he grabbed it with another hand still holding his hair away. He smiled up at Tom with an adorable laughter. Tom gasped at this, his eyes were beautiful and he looked more adorable than he ever dreamt of. A knock at the window of Edd's mother broke the moment.

Momma- EDD HURRY UP!! I made pie!

She closed the curtains and dissapeared. Edd chuckled with Tom before locking eyes.

Tom- Well night Edd

Edd- Night Tommie!

Edd rapidly kissed Tom's cheek and turned to the door.Tom smiled walking away and stooped at the gate to look back. Edd was smiling at him yelling out to him

Edd- LOVE YOU!! SEE YOU TOMORROW FOR ANOTHER DATE!!

Holding the rose closely he walked in and shut the door. Tom walked down the street and began to smile widely and laugh like an idiot.

Tom- I-I did it! He loves me....HE LOVES ME HAHAHAH!!

He skipped like a bunny down to his home in a bright joy. Holding the cheek where Edd had kissed he yelled even louder.

Tom- IN YOUR FACE TORD!!! IN YOUR FACE!!!
