Ok....I was bored last night so I made a new character. I dunno what she really is but she kinda reminded me of a gypsy or something. ::shrugs:: Anyways. I colored in Photoshop and used fabric textures for the outfit. (Something different) And....please excuse the pose. I have not finished the backround that she is supposed to be leaning on so she may look kinda wierd now. But fear not....I will make a backround soon. Please comment. ^.^Related content

Thanks so much. I really wanted to do more with her like a background or something but I never got a chance to do it. You see...my skills in photoshop are not nearly at the level that yours are. I looooove how you color in pictures and create interesting and beautiful backgrounds to your pieces. I can't do backgrounds. I don't know what it is but it is very difficult for me to make a really completeed and finished piece.

seriously, I was the same way. the whole trick is to force yourself to do it, and try to improve it as much as possible... I hate drawing backgrounds, so I rarely got around to it... but recently I told myself I HAVE to do it, and my skills in that department are improving

Looks good Jess, I have two comments.....
1_I think the texture should be repeated more so the stitching pattern isnt so large
2_I can tell your hand was shaky when shading, use the pen tool to get perfect curves
