Well... here's the kickoff to my gallery. I could certainly ramble about this piece... I've been working on it since mid-Summer and it's become a child of mine in some respects, but, well, I'm sure that'd just bore you to little bitty pieces, so I'll try to keep it short.These guys here are the seven sages from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, plus Sheik because... well... because. The line-art was done in, seriously, eight or nine minutes by my best friend ( ), who is a phenomenal freehand artist. I'm still a little shocked that he asked me to color this, especially since I spent a good twenty minutes making fun of every little flaw I could find, but I'm so glad he did. Working on this has brought my coloring skills to a whole new level.

your coloring looks really great (: for some more stuff on skin tones try using blues/purples/greens in shading depending on the light and stuff. you did some really nice techniques with the satin type fabric of Zelda's gloves <3333. and then the metals look really great too. I have some problems with the line art (zelda's cleavage line..f kaujklfjd) but you didn't do the line art so <33. this is really nice overall, i'd like to see maybe some more muted tones and some overall color combos, if that makes sense. I know all of these characters are brightly designed and stuff but if you use a similar type of color to shade + highlight it can really pull a piece together (:.
I really love how you colored.. the zora princess (*totally forgot her name, probably because I didn't like her*) not exactly sure why. great job <333.

Thanks for your helpful comments! I was thinking about using a greeny-tone to shade all the characters (it looked great on Nabooru) but I just kind of got lazy. But you're right, that's what ties really amazing pieces together.
lol. Yeah. There are quite a few little flawlets in the lineart... especially in the cleavage department, but we'll just chalk it up to it being drawn by a male-thing.

yeah, I get lazy all the time, I completely understand. I usually forget about the whole different skin tone thing myself even though I always end up telling other people to do it ):.
