If things get too serious or enemies are taking longer to defeat, she'll change to using her blood, creating a weapon which best suits the situation [ though a sword is her go-to weapon ]. When doing so, she'll take off her right glove. ( I kinda imgaine the blood to be used how it is in Kyouka no Kanata- like how it's formed and then harded but then easily switched again )

Biography: Ikaru’s mother was a very skilled ninja who fell in love with a civilian [ Ikaru’s dad ] who owned a lovely Ryokan ( Inn ). And so, she retired and began to run the Ryokan with her husband, that’s how Ikaru’s sister and later on Ikaru came to be. Due to this, both of them were raised to learn the traditional ways and behaviours to please the guests. Ikaru clear remembers her mother’s words : “Ikaru, before the guest leaves, you must always keep a smile… No matter how unwell your body feels, you must not show it on your face.”

As a child, Ikaru was never able to control her blood, much to the disappointment to her mother. Ikaru tried so hard as a child to do so but just ended up leaving deep scars in her hands. Her mother is a very strict and serious person [ towards her family at least ] who never seemed to be satisfied with Ikaru. She always wished for Ikaru to get the highest mark in school but over the pressure of wanting to please her mother, Ikaru was never able to do so and in the end, disappointed her mother. No matter how hard she tried, her mother would always act somewhat indifferent which caused many tears to fall from Ikaru’s eyes over the years. But, her sister and dad were always there for her. Her dad would often make craft her wooden statues to make her feel better and her sister would tell her stories of princesses and fairies, anything magical to get Ikaru’s mind off reality. Even telling her once that she met a fairy!

Ikaru’s sister is much older than her, having the age difference of almost 8 years. Everyone loved her and she was easily the family favorite; being great with people, being an skilled ninja, having great looks. She was the perfect daughter! But Ikaru never hated her for that, in fact she loves and looks up to her the most. Ikaru would often times lost hope and faith in herself but her sister would always bring her up again and tell her to keep on going. Her sister, at times, would be away from home so she made sure to make a promise with her younger sister : “No matter how difficult something may seem, you’ll try your best and never lose hope.” And Ikaru has swore to that ever since. Her sister even gave her the lovely nickname, Iku.

Since Ikaru wasn’t born with talent, growing up, Ikaru spent most of her time training, studying and helping out at the Inn [ to please her parents ]. But, due to this she didn’t have time for friends and so she didn’t have any. Many of the children were nice to her and she was nice to them back, but she would always observes a group of friends and wished to have one of her own someday. That’s why, whenever she gets a new friend, she treasures them deeply and would do mostly anything for them.

After graduating from the academy and having her own team, ( Kei Hanotsu and Tamotsu Fukashi - people who she’s forcing to be her friend lmao ) Ikaru found herself away from home much more often and her mother finally got off her back which really helped with her mental state ( in the beginning, but later on things at home become better ). As Ikaru grew older, her mother nagged at her much less and Ikaru found her herself understanding her better. As time went on, Ikaru was reassured by certain moments that her mother actually does love her and isn’t a bad person. <3

Ikaru is a hardworking girl as well as a perfectionist. She has a very strong sense of determination and caring which she applies to her work and life.

Ikaru is a bit of an introverted but mostly an extrovert. She tends to keep to herself sometimes when it’s something extremely personal or when she’s thinking really hard on something. At those times, although she may be surrounded by others, she will isolated in her mind. But, when she’s not alone in her head, she’ll be paying grave attention to detail in her surroundings [ this really helps her in battle as she can learn the patterns and moves of her enemy, anticipating the best time to attack ].

She’ll express her emotions without hesitation, but depending on how grave the situation is, she’ll choose her words carefully. She acts professional towards her clients [ especially on missions ], but is much more casual with her own age group and elders whom she meets frequently. Although, if anyone wronged her in anyway she will be very blunt with her words and will gladly pick a fight with them [ no matter who they are or their age ]. She’s very easy to trust but not easy at forgiving. She’ll only forgive if she believes someone is truly and sincerely apologetic. But, she tends to hold long lasting grudges.

Almost as habit, Ikaru always helps out others as she has a hard time saying ‘no’. She tries her hardest in everything she does, no matter how small the job. She always wants to finish what she started and doesn’t go back on her word. This causes her to overdo herself many times, but being as stubborn as she is, she won’t stop until it’s done.
