Martha walked slowly through the trees, listening intently to her surroundings. Tinny hoofbeats walked quickly behind her, grabbing her tail once in a while. The breeze was cool in the timber while the heat beat heavely in the open meadows. She knew Marcello would be worried about her, he'd wanted to go with her but she felt she needed to be alone. Which surprised not only him but herself since she never liked being by herself. *Thump* stopping she looked behind her to see her new born colt sitting on his rump, eyes drooping and nose wide. Turning and walking back to him she saw that he was exhausted, "Mama, me tired". Martha smiled at being called 'Mama' for the first time, "I know little one. But we can't stop here." The colt yawed before looking back at her with little blue eyes. Giggling Martha nudged her small son "Come along Manit, we're not there yet".
