Description This one too was a long time coming.
I got weird radiocity artifacts while rendering and reported my issue back to Vue. After a request from them to take a look at my source file they found the problem; both camera and subject were too far away from the origin of the world, about 10 to 20km. (this was with Vue 7) Moving the scene back solved the problem.
Anyway, I got fed up with the lighting -again- and put it in the freezer. After many months I revisited the scene, redid the lighting and after another pause did the postwork.

My working title for this piece was springjump and after missing one spring I didn't want to miss a second...

wow that sure must be a hell of a work...
I wouldn't say this is realistic, but this is much more beautiful than reality

This is a beautiful piece.

Love all the fluent moves, and the camera lens used for this shot, that mixed with the right angle gives a perfect vibe to this image.

Stolen to my +favs n_~
Cheers!~

thanks, Vue isn't half bad for a more specialized 3d programm

I've been thinking about buying the full version. I would love to incorporate Vue-made backgrounds into my character art.

Have you tried Vue Personal Learning Edition? Renders might be watermarked but it's the full version w/o a time limit. Should give you a good feel of what's possible.

That looks really cool, nice and realistic (especially the atmosphere and sun-glare) and an unusually dynamic sense of perspective and movement too (most Poser character renders I see usually look so stiff and "staged" ) That was an interesting lighting issue, I would have passed it off as just the atmosphere needing a higher quality. I thought the effects of GR lighting would be everywhere, even in Vue 7 (still stuck on that myself, upgrades are so expensive and memory-hungry ) Great work though!

Thanks, priteeboy.
As you can imagine, I tried fiddling with all render settings in an attempt to get rid of it. But I kept getting these weird, sometimes translucent, splodges on indirect lighted sides of objects, which is somewhat irritating in a backlit scene. Probably rounding errors in the energy distribution over long distances.

Ha, now there is a sentence I don't get to say every day!
