PERSONALITY:

Playful, flirtatious: Not one to take herself too seriously, Nimpi is most often found acting like a fawn and making harmless jokes. She's not malicious in the least, and usually doesn't take things too far, but some do frown upon how she seems to believe that she can go around saying and doing whatever she might please. Sometimes, her willingness to laugh and play leads to her seeming as if she's inviting stags to take their gander on her, but she has yet to be claimed by any soldier for his harem.
Impatient, energetic: The rolling plains and flatlands of Silverthorne have always been Nimpi's home, and the wide open spaces call to her like no other. From the time she could walk she was running as far from her mother as she could before darting back at the drop of a leaf or a rustle of grass, and her desire to always be on the move had never ceased. She's horrible at waiting for things, and always seems to fidget if asked to stand still.
Venturesome: Full of wanderlust, Nimpi wants nothing more than to see every part of her homeland, to stumble across the hidden gems of the dangerous forests and cliffs that she must occasionally delve into and find all the beautiful things she can. She wants to see a butterfly in every colour of the rainbow, birds with wingspans as wide as the reach of tree branches, to feel her heart pound in her chest as she sees vibrant colour out of the corner of her eye and hear a snake slithering above her head.
Clever: Nimpi often gets herself into questionable situations, and, as a result, has had to learn to think quickly on her feet to get herself out of the knots that she so often falls into. Physically, she's made for speed and stamina, not strength. In a twist, she has learned to come up with crafty plans instead of rely on brute force to solve her problems. She has devised a system of smoke and fire signals to send off quick warnings to fellow herd members whenever she stumbles across danger or particularly lush grasses, though for now the only ones that know her code are those who have met her on her tasks or heard of the signs from their own friends. Her travels cause her to come in contact with hundreds of new things, constantly adding to her knowledge base.
Distrustful: Despite her generally carefree nature, Nimpi finds it difficult to trust others. She's a skillful liar, and seems to know just what it is that someone needs to hear to get them off of her trail if they're getting a little too close for comfort. She's also surprisingly quite introverted after some time - she's so used to being on her own that extended communication with others essentially exhausts her, and she needs time to "recharge" from the contact.
Religious, superstitious: The herd's legends were fed to Nimpi with her mother's milk and her father's stories whenever he was visiting, and, as such, she's always had a fascination with the gods and often finds herself looking up at the moon too long at night, or gazing out across rocky cliffs to the hungry waters below with her hair standing on end. Superstition lays heavy on her heart, and she fears almost nothing more than displeasing her gods. She's come up with her own little tradition of always trading trinkets wherever she might go - if she picks up a flower from one area, she leaves a rock from another. For this reason, she isn't much of a collector, as her supply never increases in size.
On Crossbreds and Darklings: To both, she understands that the child is not at fault, no more than it is the fault of the ground for getting wet when it rains. However, she tries not to associate with crosses, mostly because she's afraid of making friends with a Fawnling that may be run out of the herd - or run out themselves. Dark coats bother her much less, and she's quite accepting of their bad luck, but still wouldn't go so far to call them lovely.

APPEARANCE:

Though born of a golden coat, Nimpi looks a bit abnormal by herd standards. She's smaller than average, and her lithe muscles give the impression of frailness, not the strength desired in the fiery herd. She slowed and eventually stopped growing almost immediately after starting training, as despite the lush plains, the doe never seemed to be able to supply her body with enough nutrients to maintain a regular growth pattern. This has left her short, with tiny hooves and a sweet face housing wide eyes. Her tail is almost completely hidden in a swath of pale hair that cascades down like a brush from behind her, often untamed and sometimes picking up brambles and seeds on her travels, but her mane is kept to a more controllable length.

She has no trinkets at this time, though she will occasionally carry a woven-grass pouch on her leg when carrying objects for others. She has a heart for pretty things, and often picks up flowers when she sees them, but there's little continuity in what might be in her mane or tail.

She had never been planned for, but her parents were overjoyed to find that Zinya was able to have one more fawn before it may become risky due to her age. Her brother, though nearly an adult himself at that point, was similarly glad to have a baby sister - even if his own first son had been born the year before.
Growing up, the doe didn't see much of her father or brother. They were both often busy training or on patrols, and her mother was almost constantly treating waves of patients that were cut here or there in their own spars. She played often with her nephew, and they grew up like siblings. However, to this day she'll retain that Kemp always has and always will be her only brother, as he raised her just as much as their parents did.
Her frequent visits had her leaning towards a less traditional path, though watching the stags butt each other with their climbing racks and throw their heavy heads gave her no desire to become a soldier herself. Watching her mother left her restless and sneezing, and too often she proved herself to be hopeless as a caretaker, exhausting patients with her endless questions about scars and bruises. She did, at one point, consider the path of a Firebringer, but at five years old she joined the little bucks to become a recruit, itching for adventure.
At eight years old, she became a full scout, allowing her to go on greater journeys - and get in deeper trouble.
