This is a very touching piece. Somehow this little robot is able to convey a lot of emotion. Well done!

I love this! It looks so sad. It seems like you're trying to compare the concept of machinery and robotics in the same picture with a living thing like a bird, which seems more human, you know? And all the rubble shows how the bond is severed. Maybe someday the humans will let go of robots... or the robots will let go of the humans.

I saw this so long ago and was touched. I'm glad to have finally found the artist. I recognize and adore many of your works, especially Mr Sorrow and the Spider Cultists. The emotion evident in this robot sets up a touching kind of parody.

I feel when I look at this a sort of longing from the robot to have the human experience although obviously it led to their own demise... he just lacks the nerves and heart and such to truly experience "life"

I'm a huge fan of depressed robots. My sketchbook is filled with original concepts for my own paintings. I work in acrylics, though. I haven't experimented with photoshop yet.

I just love how robots are essentially emotionless from the start, but in all reality ... they're fabricated for expendability. Designed with the end in mind. Useful for months or years, then discarded for the next model ... can you imagine feeling that disposable? That's why all my robots are usually disheveled heaps. I don't have any pictures of my robots posted because I'm waiting to paint them I'll get to them eventually xD

In this painting, it looks like the robot is envying the freedom of the birds while he is confined to his destroyed world and limited to movement through manmade joints.

I love it, totally favoriting it

I feel as though the story for this picture would be something like a scientist inventing this poor little robot, only to be left alone when the town is destroyed. He gathers what he can in a cardboard box, and then inquisitively watches a bird as it flies by, wondering how it stays in the air like that, not knowing how to ask it though.
