What a lovely style! I like the simple background, too; it fills in the empty space but doesn't draw attention away from the image you're trying to present. Very nice!

It certainly makes her pop vs a blank white background. Always difficult when the subject is the same color as whatever is behind them. I think you did a wonderful job!
