I suppose you can interpret this as you see it, but my thoughts behind it were them sharing a bittersweet moment realizing their feelings but also the species barrier.

I couldn't figure out why it was blurry the entire process but when I went to save the final version I noticed the resolution was on 72. -_______-; I derped.

Although I have to say I disagree witht the whole species barrier excuse, other toons & anime have paired diffrent species together in the past..and on the subject of MLP..well it has griffins which are half lion half eagel which means somewhere down the line a egal & a lion had to of......yeah im just gonna stop there, lol.

Well yeah but Griffins and ponies are comparable in size to some degree.
You can't tell me it's physically possible for a full grown Dragon to reproduce with a pony!

True, but again I think people overthink things, I mean I know i've used this too much in the past few days, but look at shrek...donky married a dragon much larger & older then him, yes thats a comedy I know, but point being, cartoons don't work on logic, at least not the same type we do, lol. Anything's possible. And considering spike's growth in this episode was caused by his greed, theres a chance that if he grows naturally he may look more like he fantasized in the "Dog & Pony show" ep. But yea...what can I say...that bloody episode turned me into a spartiy fan...darn u studio b you evil pony/dragon shippers, lol.
Anywho yaeh...not much else to say i guess. Still love the pick 4 stars man! yo rock!

While I've always had trouble imagining Equestria having problems with romance based on sex or species, dragons DO seem a bit more unknown/looked down upon by ponies (the doctor especially was borderline racist).
They say nothing can hold love back, but where's the fun without a bit of a struggle?
