I read through my entire journal of college, and the emotions really hit me. So many ups and downs. So much suffering, especially romantic suffering. And then that suffering crystallized into a grim knowledge when I learned of the approaching existential risk tidal wave of AI.

"To know peace, you must come to know pain."

I've come to know pain, at least a little bit. But that dread I feel staring up at a tidal wave of global problems is not vanquished so easily. All I can do is sit. And think.

Yet, I must act.
