1899? Wow, I totally just had to google that! For some reason, it had not occurred to me that the late 1800s occurred before the early 1900s. Apparently, in my head everything before the 1900s is just darkness to me. But, before there was light, there was grindledore. Man, they hadn't even discovered gorillas yet, and Dumbledore was already having all these life experiences! I wonder why Harry never asked him what it was like to be alive when gorillas were found. He could have learned about Dudleys ancestry.
There's something about this scene that I really love, but can't quite put my finger on! Grindelwald's hair, though! FLAWLESS.

XD Me too, once I started thinking more about Dumbledores youth I couldn’t stop! It’s so interesting, they should make a movie about that, not some fantastic beasts lol HAHAHA Harry totally missed out on that XD
I imagine Grindelwald to be very vain so thank you I tried to make his hair
as styled as possible XD <33

Yeah, I could definitely see him as a vane character.
And look at him! He's just getting out of the ocean, yet his hair is flawless! No wonder Dumbledore was so in love with him!
