3.5e D&D had one of my most favorite monsters, The Mudmaw a massive crocodilian like creature with tentacles on the side of its face to grab stuff, capable of turning earth into mud and being a absolute awful encounter for players who couldnt breathe water. Mudmaw my Lizardfolk character was based off of the original Mudmaw. However a martial artist/ranger who was very much about grappling enemies and giving them a hard time. He also loved beetles
