Description

::Information::
Name: Endless Dream [Morpheus, Dream]
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Unknown
Age: Unknown (mature)
Height: 18.3hh
Colour: Black

About: Morpheus was discovered just outside the gates one morning, without tack or any kind of information that could point to previous owners. Little is known about him; who he is, his breed, even his age. His mane and tail are very nearly fluid, disintegrating as they touch the ground, and his eyes are strangely colourful and bright. The stars scattered around his coat seem to change their position every now and then.

He is smart, far smarter than any of the horses at the stables; while this would normally prove to be a good thing, he sometimes uses such intelligence to trick the staff, one of the reasons why he isn't one of the favourites, despite his ethereal beauty.

He hasn't been ridden yet, as no one has been able to put so much as a halter on him. He just sort of follows everyone around and tries to eat everything in the tack room.

I... I'll just... leave this here. oh god I feel so bad about it

Oooh, thank you so much! I love him, it's a shame I haven't had the time to do much with him.

Well it looks very cool, like he's made of ink, and I love the background and all the colors.  Why do you feel bad about it?

Of course I like the night-sky coat since that was the same theme for Constellation and the white fox. ♥  Interesting that the stars move.

I think it is interesting with the aurora borealis back there since doesn't it only appear at certain times?  Like he showed up on a special night or something.

I feel bad about it because I really should not be getting more pones.

Ooh, yes. I'd wanted a space-inspired horse for aaaages, I just never managed to make a design I liked enough. This one I liked quite a bit, so I just kept it.

Yes, I think so, and only in certain places (certainly not in Portugal, but let's just ignore that 8D). That is a really nice thought, though.

It's extremely rare to see it in West Virginia, and it doesn't look like you see it in pictures.  We saw it once while driving in the middle of the night, really late, and it looked like the whole town was on fire, there was a weird red/orange glow in the sky and it was really creepy, we drove forever trying to catch up to it and see what it was until it finally faded.  It wasn't the sunset.  It was pretty cool but it was kind of scary, it looked like there was a massive fire just over the hills, but the closer you got to it the further away it was.  It's hard to remember now what it actually looked like, that was years and years and years ago.  I remember it wasn't a big dramatic swirly thing in the sky or anything like that, lol.  Just a definite "Thaaaaat's not normal" kind of thing.  It was just some weird colors in the sky that eventually faded away and wasted a lot of our time while we were driving up every hill we knew of trying to see it.

I've seen a lot of space-themed animals around and somebody had some adoptables painted like that, I was looking at them yesterday.  GaiaOnline put out a lot of galaxy items, pets and scarves and dresses and hairstyles and so on that's colored like space.

Oooh wow, that sounds so cool, though! I'd really love to see it some day, in person, not just in pictures - it's never quite the same, after all. It must be quite an amazing experience, even if it was scary.

I've looked for adoptables sooo many times, but they were either sold, or I simply didn't like them. But, well, I've got this boy now. No need for more searching.

I kind of like the idea ReQuay had, about making him a special immortal or demi-god horse for the Phaunos breed?  It would suit him so well. And you already know that I think this is really fabulousss <33

I don't know - the Phauni aren't exactly a magical breed, and the demi-god horse is very much a Cavitto thing, isn't it? I wouldn't want to be accused of ripping a breed off. But I'll have to think about it, either way. It might be worth a try.

I have no idea what a Cavitto is, but there are probably more fantasy breeds out there with some sort of magic and demi gods and whatever, so even if you won't make him one it hadn't exactly been ripping off a concept for anyone. But I understand what you're saying.

They're... the horses of the Gods or something? Cavitto I think they were the ones to come up with the demi-god thing, but I don't know. Still, magic is something I'm not thinking of integrating into the breed, so this boy could be a cross or something... (To be honest, I don't even know how group horses work.)

Ahh okay, I see.^^ And I don't even know what a group horse is. xD I just thought he looked  a bit otherworldly with his space-like eyes and fluidness going on there, and I was also thinking about where his inspiration came from. ;D And as ReQuay said; demi-gods aren't exactly a new invention, you could hardly be accused for stealing someone else's idea. But no matter what you decide to call him or not call him, I have to agree with ReQuay again and say that he's still a really pretty boy.

Yeah, he is a bit magical-looking, heh. And I didn't even consider the bit about inspiration... Dream's a bit of a god himself, isn't he? Ah, man, this is a bit complicated!

So I'm tots hopping onto your guys comments stream here

Actually, the Cavitto's are horses that belong to the Greek gods.  They are special horses, with powers, that belong to the gods.

A demi-god though, is something else entirely... most often referred to as the product/offspring of a mortal and a god (being itself a halfgod).  WIKIPEDIA LINK .  The idea of demi-gods became fairly common knowledge when the Percy Jackson book/movie series gained popularity (as the children are all offsprings of the gods).  But the concept has been around for ages.

However, if you are trying to keep your breed free from magic and powers, that may not be the direction you want to go.

You could just keep him as a gorgeous, random horse.  Or if you really wanted to integrate him with the Phauni, you could have him be a "special" stallion... one that competes for your stables and plays in your storyline (with the genetics listed as "unknown" and just not have him breed with any other horse/Phauni).  I know that whatever fun and fabulous direction you take him... you've got a winner in this beautiful boy!

Ahah, that's okay!

Oh, I see what you mean. Serves me right for not doing my research... XD

Regarding the demi-god thing, Sleipnir comes to mind. He's the perfect definition of it when he comes to horses, I suppose!

My first thought was to make him a Phaunos cross, but I'd be left with an unknown genotype anyway. I suppose I could say he's suspected to be a cross?

But thank you, thank you. I can't wait to play around with him, either. It's infuriating, having no time to do anything!

He. Is. Gorgeous.  Just gorgeous!
Quietly steals and sneaks away with super sexy stallion....

But really, his design is stunning.  The pose is absolutely magnificent.  And the colors and shading (on both him and that background) are beautiful.

Thank you so much! ♥ ♥ ♥
I might have to let you get away with him, I'm feeling so guilty about getting yet another horse... It's a shame he really doesn't have a breed, too, it'd be nice to be able to breed this beautiful boy.

Thank you, thank you!

I tots think you should turn him into a ThePhaunos , maybe a special immortal or demi-god horse for the breed?  IDK, just an idea?    But think of all the things you could do with him as an admin or group horse?  And you'd have a totally justifiable reason for keeping this sexy beast... well, maybe justifiable is a strong word, but still... any excuse to keep a fabulous horse.

I've thought of making him into a Phaunos, actually, but even then, the genotype would be a bit difficult to figure out, since none of them have stars as markings or inky mane. It's an idea, though... I'll have to think about it. (And I'm definitely keeping him, even if I can't breed him - I'm not too into breeding, anyway! )
