I've been fiddling with this for the past 2 weeks straight now and for something that started as a REALLY quick sketch (just wanted to try Illusion bowing) I think it's time to call it a day on this. So that is what this is: Illusion bowing. But more elaborate. Because Lu is a poser and a show off.
Yeah, I had no idea what to add in the big empty space next to her, so figured it was about time I attempted some fancy light...things. Those are Lu's Light Butterflies. :3 She loves butterflies, and it's kind of a recurring theme throughout her life to make them as fancy shapes out of light. It started out way back when she was little and first experimenting with her powers - she entertained her sister Nelly with it a lot. They'd sometimes pretend they were fairies. :3 This was when they were 6/7 year olds btw. xD
It was how she revealed her powers to the Ringmaster at the Circus she ran away, too. Lots of other occasions as well which I hope to depict someday...hence why I need to figure out how I'm going to actually make them myself! I'm not completely satisfied with these, but as far as first attempts go, not too shabby?
Gah, I've got about 6 other colour variants on this which I rather like but don't want to get into the habit of posting loads of different versions of the same image.
I'm kind of in the middle of experimenting with colours so you might hear me rant about that a fair bit. Also desperately need to work on composition/perspective. :I Trying new thingggs...But right now I need to be in bed.(Cripes that was a lot of talking!) Good night for now, dearies! <3

We're going up to Student Digs next saturday to take some stuff down, but aren't moving back in properly until the 17th. (MY BIRTHDAY) We are going to be real live adults, Jelly Bean! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS? D8 Well. That's debateable since you're going fancy-dressing it. xD When are you going out for your b'day and where and stuffs? If I'm honest, if it's going to be going out drinking I probably won't want to come. xP But I could always come visit you especially some other time and we can call it a b'day visit. :3

oh wow aree u moving in then? :0 have u managed to get a good flat again? thats fine dont worry doody :] ps if u get a chance watch 'my life as a turkey (natural world) on bbc iplayer its so beautiful about this guy that acts as the mum to loads of turkeys and all the other animals like deer and wild pigs jus accept him in the forest and dont run away cos they see him as the turkey mummy! its so coool xxx

sweet i like this it really shows what a sweet yet showy girl lu really is as well when u ask for a better name do you mean for the picture i was thinking perhaps the lites oflife cause the whole butter flies made of light thing really does look like it could bring life to an entire world
but if you meant for the name of this trick perhaps magical fairy lights would be appropriate since she used to make beleive thats what they were..... so what do ya think
