Description
Since "humans never happened" in Zootopia I'm sure I'm breaking some unwritten law by having domestic animals like dogs and cats in that world...but oh well.
Judy and Nick about to bust master criminal Demon and his sidekick Tres. I'm sure there are drugs or...something stashed in that suitcase. But knowing Tres I don't really care to find out. XD This image popped in my head earlier today and demanded to come out on paper. I may or may not ink and color it, we'll see. I spent a good three and a half hours just on the sketch; the poses were a pain. I'm far from perfect when it comes to anthros but damnit I'm trying. PS: Those are tasers they're holding, not guns. But I can't draw either one so. XD

Thanks! ;v; I had so much fun with this one, I'm seriously thinking of coloring it in an overlay (tracing paper) I don't wanna ruin the original sketch but at the same time I have such a vivid image of how this would look with colors and shading and gah...gotta make it happen. XD I wanna draw more of Demon and Tres in this universe too. XD

In the UK version of the movie, the moose on ZNN (I think that's the news station) is replaced by a Corgi so apparently domesticated animals happened...somehow. There's also the fact that pink pigs and kinky sheep's wool are because of domestication (though the latter could just be hair care product) so it apparently happened but just changed their features instead of their personality.

That's interesting!! I couldn't find a picture of the corgi but I looked it up and found out the news anchors are all different depending on region. Moose (America), Corgi (UK), Tanuki (Japan), Koala (Australia), Jaguar (Brazil) and Panda (China). Very cool! They really put so much thought into this movie! I also noticed the pigs and the sheep but I figured because cats and dogs (especially) are so diverse in appearance we'd have seen at least a few of them if they were around. Sure does raise the question as to how they happened without humans...I smell fan fiction ideas.

Cool. And indeed; then again, almost anything could spark a fanfic idea. There's a fanfic out there that opens with a murdered college student who turns out to have ended up murdered in part because of her connection to a group that wanted equal relationship rights (she herself was a wolf dating a capybara (spelling) and the group had a horse/lemur couple and two lionesses who were together) and ends up going into a full-on movement.
