Well everyone else is drawing this new "Kion" guy (lame name btw, looks like you just swapped the L in "Lion" with a K. Seriously Disney?) I might as well join in. Please excuse the mess, I'm out of practice with Lion King art. I CAN'T be the only one who thought "OMFG HE HAS SCAR'S MANE STYLE KINDA SORTA" the second they first saw this character, right? Right!?
This cub may be unoriginal and intended for an audience of preschoolers but at least he has some good style sense that was clearly inherited from his great uncle. I'm not thinking too much into this, am I? 
PS: That ribbon says "#1 Great Uncle"
Inks/colors? I dunno, maybe but I doubt it. I haven't been in a coloring mood plus I have so many other things I need to work on right now (namely my 20th anniversary tribute to TLK)

I keep seeing people drawing grown-up version of him with a Simba or Mufasa-esque mane. NO! No. I think when he grows up he's going to look rather like Scar, or at least his mane will.

we had to read this stupid story at school once where the guy kept stopping to looking mirrors, and he would whisper "cuts" and rub his abs, then "fresh" and swipe at his hair because he wanted to be cool or something.

Seriously, everyone else has a creative name with some cool meaning in Swahili (except for Ed and Scar, but I think the fandom can mostly all agree that "Scar" wasn't his birth name -- and as for Ed, well...he's Ed. ) Kion is just...
And thanks, like I said I haate this sketch, I'm so rusty with LK which makes me a sad panda. But I had to do this, it wouldn't get out of my head.
