so here we have... alain's daughter, étoile

alain did NOT mean to have a kid. he resented her for being inside of him and subsequently being born. he couldnt bring himself to NOT have her, but... it was tough.

it happened before he even entered the league, and all the time leading up to it was spent desperately trying to get his mind off of it as much as possible.

he pushed himself too hard, probably, but like also... did he NOT before? sdfgsd

he never told her other father about it. he figured he wouldnt wanna be bothered by something like that since it was a mistake in the first place - and, besides, alain wasnt looking for any kind of connection to him

so alain disliked his own child to the point where he couldnt even be bothered to name her. his own dad, professor sycamore, had to do the honors.

sycamore babysat when he could, but as a professor he wasnt free all that often. alain had to deal with it himself most of the time, to his chagrin.

carrying around a baby while trying to battle isnt very... easy! étoile grew up knowing nothing but battling, really.

so now, at 24, she's an incredibly formidable trainer sporting a mega ampharos as her ace

honestly toying with the idea that she becomes champion at some point (which means beating ash... havent decided on that yet jhdjk)

shes pretty reserved and shes got a really powerful energy that unnerves most people.

so she's kind of a loner but that's alright... or IS it? actually, that sounds kind of sad doesnt it?
