Meet Berryhill "Honeycomb" Lesnutt. Single mother of Dakota, native of Funderland, resident of Wheee. Her man left when Dakota was five, and I say man because marriage isn't super common in Funderland. Not compared to the rest of the world, at least. Which made it easier for that to happen, but it ultimately worked out for the best, as it resulted in a stronger relationship with her son overall. As a mom, she's reasonably stern when she needs to be, but intensely loving. She's no pushover as a person, her kindness is not a weakness, and she knows how to protect herself and her boy. Especially since she was particularly lonely after Dakota left home to go off on his adventures. But friends and family kept her sane as her selfish son dared to have a life of his own and left her all alone.
