Fifteen months later they relocated to Crouch End in North London, England. She stayed there till she was eleven, moving back to the US. Due to her life in London and the US, she's able to switch accents at a whim.

She's mostly known for the supernatural TV series X Files, where she played Dana Scully. Other shows that she's been in are The Fall, The Crown, Bleak House, War and Peace, Hannibal, Great Expectations, The First Lady, and others.
