Synopsis : "Ronnie Anne becomes friends with Sid Chang."

So, it's hard to believe that we're in season 4 of The Loud House. The show has definitely come a long way in the 3 years it was on. Let's talk about the season 4 premiere, which features the Casagrandes. Let's talk about this.

This double length episode involves Ronnie Anne befriending a new girl named Sid Chang. There's an apartment available above Ronnie Anne's , and tries to do everything she can for her family to get the apartment with help from her cousins and brother. This has unintended consequences when her grandmother, who's the building manager, almost gets fired.

I'll be blunt here. This special is just full of heart. It essentially serves as a reinforcement of the themes of friends an family , while also showing quite a bit about city life. Its wrapped up in a nice little bow , with said bow being a message on not going to extreme lengths in trying to secure a friendship. What really helps this is the friendship between Ronnie Anne and Sid Chang.

Ronnie Anne and Sid Chang are like peas in a pod. They manage to bond over being free spirits. Ronnie Anne does act rather rambunctious and rebellious, particularly in trying to make sure no potential families get the apartment. However, it's also made clear that Sid is the first true friend she made in the city, hence why she wants to keep the friendship. Plus, she immediately regrets her behavior upon seeing how it affects her grandmother's credibility as building manager. I really like Sid's character. She's shown to be spunky and energetic, particularly in how she tries everything she can in the city due to being the new girl. She's also rather prone to following the crowd, but it's more out of being slightly naive, and not stupid. We see more of their bonding as things go on, thus showing how they're meant to be together. As for everyone else, them supporting her works since her family background (young sister, zoologist mother, conductor father) all appeal to their own interests.

How does the episode end? Ronnie Anne apologizes for what she did, and cleans up the apartment for any potential family . Mr. Scully, the building manager, is touched by her story, and manages to find a new apartment for the Reynolds family while Sid's family gets the apartment they wanted.

This episode is a great way to start season 4 and a great preview for The Casagrandes .
