I'm going to be blunt, and say that this is the best episode of the show. No questions asked. Everything good about the show is encompassed into 22 minutes of awesomeness. What do I mean? Let's find out. The episode involves Wander, Sylvia, and their allies preparing for the final battle against Dominator, especially when she finds out about their secret hiding place. While Hater and Peepers also prepare to attack her and reclaim their status, Wander goes off to find out why she acts the way she does, but he gets in trouble. This episode has quite a lot going for it. It provides some more depth to Dominator's character, which I won't spoil. It's epic as all heck with the raised stakes and the intense atmosphere, but the core heart of the show is still there. However, the main reason I like the episode is because of the complex relationship Hater and Wander have with each other. Wander is an optimist who sees the good in others. Hater is a pessimist who wants power to prove how great he is. Despite how different they are, they both share a common goal of taking down someone who gets in the way of those ideals. The episode is essentially about the moral on how different people are, yet they are still linked together because of that bond. Considering the complex relationship, the stakes, the overall entertainment, and the open ended ending, I think it's a great way to close out Wander Over Yonder, which is currently my favorite Craig McCracken show.
