Description 1. The Ghoul Next Door

Writer: Jeffrey King

Director: Marten Jonmark

March 8, 2019

Synopsis : "Vampirina, Poppy, and Edgar get new neighbors."

So, how do I go about talking about this? I say its Edgar's time to shine. Let's talk about it. The episode involves a new family moving in next door. They have a kid named Drake (voiced by Nathan Arenas). Edgar thinks he might be a vampire due to how he acts strangely, while Vee, Poppy, and Bridget try proving otherwise . This episode has an interesting moral on not letting your imagination get to you, while simultaneously saying that you should be willing to give others a chance. Using Edgar for this moral works well. He's rather set out to prove that Drake is an alien, constantly monitoring his moves. What makes him likable? Well, beyond being called out each time, he also has the decency to at least confront him when they're not around others, showing his sense of restraint. Drake himself is pretty likable. He's into spooky stuff like Edgar, but he's more reserved and tends to act a bit weird as a coping mechanism. That's definitely a bit sad. Anyway, the four of them then talk to him, and he unsurprisingly reveal a he's not a vampire. They then accept him as a friend. That's nice.

2. Scare B And Vee

Writer: Jennifer Hamburg

Directors: Matteo Ceccotti & Leigh Fieldhouse

March 8, 2019

Synopsis : "Vee is put in charge of the Scare B And B."

Let's make some reservations to sit down and watch the episode. This episode has Vee being in charge of the Scare B & B while her parents are selling magic quilts at the Scare Fair. They tell her that two zombies will be the guests, when it's actually a human couple with the last name Zombiè (voiced by Kari Wahlgren and Ian James Corlette). Vee tries keeping them satisfied while hiding anything supernatural. This episode has an interesting moral in not getting over your head when being independent. Its about how you can stand out on your own while still getting help. Vee is the best example to use for this moral. She's known for being a bit overconfident , though she never acts snide about it. She just focuses more on trying to keep them happy while still keeping things secret. The fact she's willing to ask Poppy and Bridget (in addition to everyone in the house ) for help shows she's doing so , not out of pride, but of altruism . She's still calling the shots while knowing how to go forth with them, which is sweet. Anyway, the episode ends with them satisfied after being treated to late night snacks and what they think is a regular rug to make sleeping better. It works well enough.
