If you want to hear, here's my opinion. ^^
I wouldn't say that the ending is the worst ending in gaming history. I have played games where the ending didn't make much sense, came completely out of the blue, or where it really didn't feel like it should have ended like it did. So I personally don't think it was bad. For a Mario game, it was pretty good.
And about the ending of Super Mario Odyssey, I think Peach was just reached a point where she have gotten enough of being pushed around.
but by saying this, that's only my opinion. You don't like how it ended and that's totally cool. To be honest, when Mario walked over to Peach, I was fully expecting Nintendo to finally make them an officially couple. But I guess Nintendo just decided to prank us all.

Exactly. Mario would highly likely have proposed to Peach, and she would probably have said yes to him. But then Bowser butts in out of no where and ruins the moment between those two.
Peach didn't attempt to leave him on moon. Sure, she went over and started the Oddyssey, but she then called for Mario and waves to him to come along with a smile.
Peach isn't evil. For the first time, she just straight up says that she had enought. You can even see the chock in Bowser and Mario's eyes by her reaction. It's not the ending with Peach giving him a kiss and then bakes a cake. Nintendo actually tried something new here.
Mario missed his chance this time, but I highly doubt that he will give up that easily. You can definitely sense that they both have romantic feelings for each other, but now just wasn't the right time for them.
I personally really like this ending. And I love how Mario pats Bowser's back after being rejected, haha.

You're so focused on one little scene in a video game, that you're now going as far as to judge me. How dare you accuse me for "taking a liking into heartbreaks". On top of that, you seems to be way too narrowminded that you only think that you're right in this argument.
Yes, Mario and Bowser will still go after Peach, because that's how the games are, and the games will always be like this. And that's why people still like Mario after all these years.
On my page, everyone is allowed to have their own opinion about everything. As long as people are still being respectful towards each other and don't create a heated argument, which I feel you've just done, my good sir.
