listen man I really don't have the time to be drawing but I really wanted to try my hand at unconventional mermaids so here we are

For their humanoid appearances, I referenced their designs from the show Harley Quinn.

For their mermaid components, Harley is a Chain Catshark (they glow!) and Ivy is a type of Siphonophore (they also glow, I think? If not, this one does because I say so).

Reasoning:
Harley: I thought that the chain pattern would suit the harlequin aesthetic pretty well, and I think a particularly cute shark suits her fairly well.
Ivy: I was originally going to do a normal jellyfish because I wanted something flowy and elegant that stings, but then I discovered Siphonophores while looking for what kind of jellyfish I wanted her to be and um??? They're so creepy, it's awesome??
