everything is detioriating into dust, colliding into nothing, as the light blurring my vision bleeds into patterns and breaks off into tears. my world is now nothing more than a snapped twig beneath the sole of a foot, cut offa dead end. my past soaking beneath my feet, my shadow clinging to my ankles with each footprint that i leave, soaked in the sun's rays. i keep asking myself,
why
(did this have to happen)
(can't things be different)
(did i let myself hold on so long)
(can't you still be here)
WHY?
GOD, WHY?

but, i can look into my mirror for hours and not know the person staring back, the me i remember has the the same eyes, but everything
else has bled away through the beats i didn't want to pump, the time i didn't want to check, the life i didn't want to live.
a dead end.
don't ask me, why.
