So I came RUNNING when I heard that there had been a freezerburn hug. Like honestly, it was my jam.Now Im not actually gonna watch the new season but if I heard about white rose or monochrome or any of the other ones getting a scene like this then BOIΒ Β

mmmm, I don't really like the writing anymore and the fight scenes aren't enough to keep me engaged. Like, i was getting upset over some of the plot points and character actions, etc so I just decided to drop it.. I'll still tune in for the cool stuff though

Vol 4 was an "off" season, both plot and fights have really ramped up in just 5 episodes of vol 5, I think Vol 4 was to calm us down after Vol 3.

unfortunately my issues with rwby have been building for a long time and volume 4 was just sort of the nail in the coffin. I just had too many problems with it like-
them never showing anyone but jaune mourning over pyrrha despite the fact that ren and nora were her teammates too
or that mercury and emerald were completely underused in the last volume, and instead of them getting any real spotlight with cinder, they crew just introduced more villains (the same goes for introducing characters like neptune or sssn and then not doing anything with them- despite sun's spot in blake's storyline)
or the fact that it takes so long for ruby to talk about penny, pyrrha, or roman's deaths (granted I stopped watching just before weiss left the schnee mansion so they might have touched on it, but i felt disappointed by the lack of an impact that they had on her character for at least half the volume)
so yeah, I had a lot of problems with the series (and I couldn't just 'turn my brain off' with it) and it was just easier to drop it. I understand while other people still like it though.

I think a lot of it is that Ruby internalizes what she can't do anything about, but she does talk about it.Β
