Β But if you ship GamaMako then I'll just warn you now. I ship it too, but I don't wanna hear it. Not on this piece (it's bad enough on tumblr- jeez)

i definitely wouldn't disagree with you there. even if you branded the more physical moments between them as just comedy (mako kissing her, being interested in ryuko's body, ect) they obvious know sides of each other that the rest of the world doesnt and we repeatedly see how important they are to each other

Yeah, I like how subtle it was and that the romance never took away from the main story and they saved it until the end to truly expand on it. Ryuko is my favourite anime protagonist ever for so many reasons, she doesn't need to ever rely on a male character to rescue or protect her, she is a badass and she is a revenge character (they are the most compelling character types IMO). Mako, Ira, Nonon, Aikuro and Mr Mankanshoku were all some of the most hillarious anime characters ever. Mako and Ryuko is the only ship in this show that I think actually came true (Gamako is cute and all, Aikuro X Ryuko is hillarious but so far out, Ryusuki is weird and non existent and Ryuketsu is just plain nonsense, they were more like bro and sis or child and guardian). Anyway sorry for the long ass and late reply btw.Β

I wasn't shipping anyone in the show and was enjoying their friendship...then the Cooldown Hug happened. I'm a sucker for those. What a great ending for them, they make a great couple!

Yeah Mako n Ryuko we great. Adding Satsuki was awesome too. Especially when she screamed trying to catch her. Did u notice that Ryuko had "M M" on the back of her pants! Im guessing like Mako Mankanshoku instead of Matoi.

Yep. Before I liked her because she seemed like a really strong villain and the power that she had over the school was realy interesting to me.
But then we see her after losing to her mother and then she just gets REAL and suddenly i can understand was the four devas would give their lives for her.
