Description
The KingfisherΒ is primarily a pleasure-boat, but has extensive freight capacity as well. (Rumors of black marketeering, slave trading and drug smuggling abound, of course). Here the logistics crew welcome a docking tube from another craft.Daz 4.10 with iRay. Quick render at 40 minutes or so.

Ha! No, this crew are gonna be fine I think. Just something for me to work on while I have renderer's block. I plan for their ship to be a regular part of the "story" such as it is.

Interesting head pieces!
Not sold on the goggle part, but I like the antennae bits. Lots of fun costume opportunities with those!

It's funny, but these have appeared a lot in past renders, but I think the light happened to catch 'em just so in this shot. The goggles can look quite good in some circumstances, but not so much here.

Of course being a space pirate and all, I've been dragged out of a few.Β Of course!Β So have Julies.Β Only about every night!
The last time I was out on the town, the 'Den of Inequity' I think it was.Β No.Β Don't go.... it was a couple of Julies getting dragged out.Β Of course they had started a bar fight and ruined all the space-pool cue sticks over heads and asses.Β Julies always go for either the head or the ass, who knows why?Β As they were being dragged out past me, it was obvious the near one was juuuust hammered - her eyes suddenly lost that glaze and looked up and locked on to me in that unnerving way that the Julies have.Β I could almost see her pupils zooming in and out as she tried and failed to focus on me.Β Then suddenly deciding I must be the one, she stabbed a small finger accusingly at me:Β "hhHey!!Β I know you!! Bastard!Β If you've hit me and I find out about it!!" and then she was out the door before she could finish.
I fell in love that night.

Oh, Phreeep, you know it'll never work out with a Julie...she'll drink your stash dry, get you in trouble with your landlord, and pawn your treasures for gum, comics and ethanol!
A bunch of retired Julies run a place called "The Sausage and Spoon", and there you can really see the Julie in her element, with AC/DC karaoke 24/7 (mostly "You Shook Me All Night Long", again and again), pints of chilled ethanol, oppressively sticky floors, and tight, shiny bodysuits as far as the eye can see. You might even catch an Ellie or two in the corner booths...I saw a young, naive Julie grab the ass of an Ellie one night...now that was a fight to remember...
